Agartala, 7th October 2025 : A Bolero goods vehicle narrowly avoided a fatal crash this afternoon near the 43-mile mark of the 18 Mura Hills under Mungiakami police station jurisdiction. The incident occurred along the Assam-Agartala National Highway and left one person injured.
The Bolero, bearing registration number TR05F-1530, was returning empty to Teliamura after unloading goods in Dharmanagar. As it made its way back, a speeding vehicle from the opposite direction caused the driver to lose control, resulting in the Bolero overturning by the roadside.
Security personnel stationed nearby rushed to the scene upon hearing the crash and promptly began rescue operations. The injured individual was taken to the Mungiakami Primary Health Centre for medical attention.
Despite the vehicle overturning, major casualties were averted. Traffic on the highway was briefly disrupted but resumed normal flow shortly after. Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
