Agartala, 2nd December 2024:   A bomb blast at the house of BJP worker Rakesh Deb in the Mia Para area of Kamalasagar assembly constituency has created widespread panic. The incident took place at around 3:30 am on Monday. Fortunately, no one in the family was harmed. The local MLA and police rushed to the spot to assess the situation.

Rakesh Deb, the owner of the house, alleged that miscreants threw the bomb with the intention of killing him. “Such bombs are usually used in Bangladesh. These bombs are not made in our state,” he claimed, though he could not identify who might be responsible for the attack.

The police, led by the OC of Madhupur police station, quickly initiated an investigation. They have arrested two youths, Akash Dey and Balaram Dutta, in connection with the bomb attack.

The MLA of Kamalasagar Assembly, who is also a BJP worker, visited the site to inspect the damage. “The people of the house were narrowly saved. Incidents like these create panic, and everyone in the area must unite to prevent future attacks by miscreants,” she stated.

The incident has left the community in shock, and authorities are working to ensure the safety and security of the residents. The investigation is ongoing to uncover the motives behind the attack and bring the perpetrators to justice.
