Agartala, May 10, 2023: The West Agartala police station staff conducted a raid at the ST Welfare Corporation, Lake Chowmuhani area on Tuesday. The police arrested a man with brown sugar during the raid. His name is Sameer Acharjee.
During the search, a packet of 12 grams of brown sugar was recovered from his possession along with some empty boxes. His mobile was confiscated. The market value of seized brown sugar is Rs 50,000. Police arrested him in NDPS case.
SDPO Asish Dasgupta informed about the police operation. Police produced the arrested person in the court on Wednesday.
