BSF and BGB officials hold crucial coordination meeting on Indo-Bangladesh border

Agartala, August 05: A coordination meeting between nodal officers of Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB) was held on Saturday on Maitri bridge in Sabroom.

Indian delegation was led by Saroj Kumar Singh, PMG, PMMS, Deputy Inspector General, Nodal officer BSF Tripura Frontier and BGB delegation was led by S M Shafiqur Rahman, PSC, G+ Director, Nodal officer South East Region, Chittagong.

In a press release, it has been informed that this meeting was organized to discuss the issues of  concern mainly that of ensuring domination and security along the Indo-Bangladesh border particularly in the inhospitable terrain on the eastern border (on Bangladesh side).

In the meeting modalities for better coordination and domination was discussed. Meetings at such platform to address the issues to improve the cooperation, mutual trust and understating between the two border guarding forces will certainly go a long way, the statement reads.
