Agartala, 8th November 2025: In a successful operation against narcotics smuggling, the Border Security Force (BSF), Tripura in a joint operation with PR Bari police station staff in the presence of Deputy collector and Magistrate Belonia carried out house search in an Indian village Uttar Awasthipara, Dakshin Krishnapur, Radhanagar under PS P R Bari, South Tripura district and seized 168 kg of cannabis yesterday.
Based on specific intelligence inputs, on 07th November 2025, BSF troops apprehended 03 Bangladeshi nationals from Indian village Megliband, Katlamura, under Sidhai police station in Mohanpur sub-division of West district while they were planning to ex-filtrate to Bangladesh.
This successful joint operation once again underscores BSF’s firm commitment to curb trans border crime and drug trafficking in the state of Tripura in coordination with sister agencies.
