Agartala, 25th November 2025:    –Bangladesh border, turned into a hub of humanitarian service today as the Border Security Force (BSF) 124 Battalion organized a free medical camp. The initiative, held under the jurisdiction of Anandabazar Police Station, was conducted from 10 a.m. to 12 noon under the direction of Battalion Commandant Shri S. Balasubrahmanyam, as part of BSF’s civic action programme.

The camp was led by Dr. Veni Nuh, Senior Medical Officer of the 124 Battalion, along with Dr. Guddu Debbarma, Medical Officer of PHC Jampui. The doctors provided villagers with detailed guidance on common illnesses, preventive measures, and hygiene practices. Free health check-ups, medicines, and essential healthcare items were also distributed.

Community participation was remarkable, with nearly 250 villagers attending the camp. Village Pradhan Kshetra Mohan Reang, along with several local dignitaries, was present. Representing BSF, Shri Anil Bodh, 2IC, accompanied by two officers, eight subordinate officers, and 35 jawans, actively supported the programme.

The response from the villagers reflected deep satisfaction. Many praised BSF’s initiative and requested similar camps in other border areas in the future.

This humanitarian effort once again underscored BSF’s commitment—not only to safeguarding the nation’s borders but also to improving the quality of life in frontier communities.
