Agartala, 31st January 2026: Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir, a shrine of knowledge and echoes, organized a grand Annual Cultural Programme and Prize-Giving Ceremony of the Primary Section today at the MBB Auditorium on its Narsingarh campus to honour students for their outstanding performances in various co-curricular activities.
The programme commenced auspiciously with the offering of floral tributes to the portrait of Kulapati K. M. Munshi, the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and a warm welcome to the guests. In the two phases of the programme, the Chief Guests Bimalendra Chakraborty, poet and writer, and Pinakpani Deb, producer and director in the field of drama; the Guest of Honour Prabal Bandhopadhyay, Dramatist and actor and Pushal Deb, Artist, Information and Cultural Affairs, Tripura; and the Special Guests Nita Goswami, singer; Saswati Deb, Dancer and Anusha Chakraborty, graced the occasion.
In her welcome address, the Principal of the school, Swapna Shome highlighted the various activities of the institution, emphasizing the school’s commitment to the intellectual and holistic development of its students. The esteemed guests distributed certificates of appreciation and mementos to the winners of various co-curricular competitions from Nursery to Class VI-such as Dance, Music, Recitation, Gita Chanting, Extempore Speech, Drawing, and Action Rhymes.
Various facets of Indian culture and heritage were beautifully showcased through the cultural performances of the young students, which captivated the audience. The distinguished guests highly appreciated their performances. The cultural programme presented a beautiful confluence of India’s ancient, medieval, and modern eras.
The entire programme was presided over by Debashis Chakraborty, Retired IFS officer and Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Agartala Branch. He stressed the importance of building a strong foundation at the primary level of education and praised the school’s efforts in nurturing students with care and excellence.
The programme was memorable, filled with proud moments and motivation for all, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Headmistress Pompi Majumdar.
