Campaign ends for East Parliamentary Constituency

Agartala, 24th April 2024  :  The campaign for the second phase election in the East (ST) Parliamentary Constituency has ended today. The election for the Lok Sabha in the East (ST) Parliamentary Constituency will be held on April 26.

Candidates, political parties, leaders, and activists are now in the mood for some rest after the rigorous campaigning for both seats. Since the start of the campaigning for the election, the intense clamor could not be ignored. From morning to night, the candidates and the leaders-activists have been running from door to door.

From blasting noise in meetings to road shows, everything has been tried to captivate attention.

For BJP candidate Kriti Singh Debbarma, who is contesting in the East Parliamentary seat, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, Former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya were among the top state leaders who campaigned for the candidates.

Meanwhile, BJP central senior leader like Union Home Minister Amit Shah held the election campaign for the East Parliamentary constituency .

On the other hand, CPIM state leaders like former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, CPIM state committee secretary Jitendra Chaudhury, Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman and others leaders held campaing for CPIM and INDI bloc candidate Rajendra Reang.

Leaders, activists, and candidates of all political parties have worked day and night to woo the masses. The office of the Chief Electoral Office, has informed that at 5 pm today, the campaigning for the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections in East Parliamentary Constituency. The CEO Puneet Agarwal has also said that no political party will be able to organize various types of campaign programs, including election meetings and road shows, after that period.
