Agartala, 21st June 2024 : The Central Bureau of Communication organized International Yoga Day today at Sukanta Play Centre in Jogendranagar, Agartala. The program, organized as part of IYD 2024 with the theme “Yoga for Self and Society,” was attended by 300 participants from different walks of life. Speaking on the occasion, guests present at the program urged future generations to learn the ancient art of self-healing through yoga.
National Judge and Vice President of the West Tripura Yoga Association, Samiran Chakraborty, in his speech, highlighted how in the last ten years, the age-old tradition of India, ‘Yoga,’ has received a new facelift and has become popular not only in India but worldwide, thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He encouraged parents to incorporate yoga into their daily lifestyles so they can pass it on to the next generation. He emphasized that yoga plays an important role in our lives and that a daily yoga practice can help build a society free of diseases. Gold medalists Chayan Debnath and Debasish Das, who won gold in the National Yoga meet, were also felicitated.
