Agartala, 20th November 2025: A Chennai-bound flight was halted yesterday late evening to remove Sabroom-based pharmaceutical businessman Abhijit Dey.
Dey was traveling with a couple from Sabroom when police suddenly escorted him off the aircraft moments before departure.
According to the couple Murari Debnath and Swapna Debnath, officials later identified themselves as officers from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Bidhannagar unit.
The reason behind Dey’s detention remains unclear, and no official statement has yet been released by the CBI.
