CBI sezied PCs of West Agartala PS for Chit Fund Company probe

Agartala: April 05. The officials of CBI today seized nine computers as part for their investigation related to cheat fund companies in the state. Sources said that the CBI officials seized nine CPUS from West Agartala police station. Cases were filed against several chit fund companies in the state during the Left government. Subsequently, the responsibility of investigating the cases was handed over to the CBI. One such chit fund company is Income Tax.

n 2013, this case of income tax chit Fund Company was first registered in the state. The case is currently being investigated by the CBI. According to reliable sources, on Tuesday night, a CBI officer, Debandra Kumar Arya, came to the Agartala West police station and seized the CPUs of nine computers from among the items seized by the police in the income tax case. CBI has taken possession of the official materials from the state police as these materials are required for the next phase of the case. It is believed that apart from income tax, all other chit fund company cases entrusted to the CBI will come up under investigation. It is noted that the CBI is responsible for a total of 35 chit fund cases in the state.
