Agartala, 4th October 2025 : In a significant step toward strengthening educational infrastructure in Tripura, a sub-regional office of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has been inaugurated near the Agartala Airport today.
An official from the Education Department informed that the new office will begin its operations from Rabindra Nagar for the time being, and a new building is under construction near the Airport, which will serve as its permanent location.
Until now, CBSE-affiliated schools in Tripura were managed under the Guwahati regional office. However, schools and students often faced difficulties in administrative coordination and communication. With the establishment of this new sub-regional office, such challenges are expected to be resolved efficiently.
The Tripura Sub-Regional Office of CBSE will provide a wide range of services to affiliated schools, including admission support, subject and student record corrections, exam centre coordination, mark sheet rectification, grievance redressal, and teacher training facilitation. The office will also collaborate closely with state education bodies and regional institutions to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations and promote student development initiatives.
The move is seen as a major boost for the state’s education sector, as it will benefit students, teachers, school administrators, and parents alike by improving accessibility and response time for CBSE-related services.
