Centre Clears 140 Crore for New Ayurveda and Homoeopathy Colleges in Tripura, CM chairs meeting

Agartala, 2nd December 2025 : Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday announced that the Ministry of Ayush has approved a sanction of ₹140 crore for setting up an Ayurveda Medical College and a Homoeopathy Medical College in the state.

Dr. Saha informed that a high-level meeting was held to chart out the roadmap and expedite the processes required to ensure that both institutions become operational from the next academic session.The Chief Minister said the decision will substantially boost Tripura’s healthcare infrastructure and expand opportunities in medical education.

He also expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush Prataprao Yadav for their continued support in strengthening the state’s health sector.
