Agartala, 19th April 2025: Lembucherra residents have expressed frustration over the deteriorating condition of National Highway No. 208 near Lembucherra High School, urging authorities to take prompt action. The highway, which connects Khowai and Kamalpur, was completed just a year and a half ago but has already become riddled with large potholes.
Local drivers are struggling to navigate the damaged road, resulting in vehicle damage and delays. Pedestrians, market commuters, schoolchildren, and patients seeking medical care are also bearing the brunt of the situation. “Every day we risk accidents just trying to get to school or the market,” said a worried resident.
The common people have repeatedly approached the concerned department with complaints about the highway, but no action has been taken to address the issue. “We can’t wait any longer—this is about safety and our daily lives,” added another citizen. Angry locals are now demanding immediate renovation to ensure safe and smooth travel for all.
