Agartala, 20th February 2025: A one-day CLF Level Health Camp was organized today at the premises of Kulai Subhadra Anganwadi Center initiated by the Block Mission Management Unit (TRLM) Ambassa. Around two thousand SHG women workers under the Sarbjaya Mahila Class Multipurpose Cooperative Society participated in the health check-up and received free medicines. This health camp was specifically organized to check the health of elderly women, with tests for malaria, and sugar, and distribution of medicines for various ailments.
The secretary of Sarbjaya Mahila Class Multipurpose Cooperative Society stated, “This health camp is organized once a year, especially focusing on the health of the sisters in the self-help group. Our cooperative society, formed with nine panchayats, is committed to the well-being of all associated women. Recently, we have started forming self-help groups with elderly women, and it is crucial to address their health concerns.”
Monthly meetings are arranged with the women of the elderly group to discuss their problems and find solutions. “Through these meetings, we have been able to identify the physical problems of the elderly sisters. Hence, this health camp was organized after thorough discussion to provide them with the necessary medical attention,” he added.
The Pradhan of Kulai Gram Panchayat Prantosh Deb inaugurated the health camp. “The significant presence of the sisters of the self-help group at the health camp highlights the importance of such initiatives. We are committed to ensuring the health and well-being of our elderly sisters,” Deb stated.
