Addressing the camps, CM Dr Saha said “I am very happy that in response to my appeal, various clubs, social organizations and organizations across the state are coming forward to donate blood voluntarily. Blood donation means donation of life, voluntary blood donation is the only option to meet the need of blood.”

Any healthy person can donate blood every three months if there is no particular physical problem. There is no greater donation than donating blood, your donated blood can bring back life to many sick patients”, he added.

Congratulating the party workers of two assembly constituencies, Dr Saha said “I am overwhelmed by the large scale spontaneous participation of the karyakartas in the Blood Donation Camp organized by the mandal committees of 8-Town Baradowali and 7-Ramnagar. This blood donation is a reflection of the commitment of the organizers towards social work. I applaud their initiative. The need for blood can be met only through voluntary blood donation.”

In the blood donation camps, Dr Saha was accompanied by BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, MLA Surajit Datta, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder, BJYM state vice-president Vikki Prasad, 8-Town Bardowali mandal president Sanjay Saha, Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Viveknagar secretary Swami Shubhakarananda Maharaj and others were present.
