Agartala, 8th May 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday extended strong support to the Indian Armed Forces in the wake of Operation Sindoor, asserting that India’s years of suffering due to cross-border terrorism demand a decisive and uncompromising response.
Condemning the recent killing of 26 civilians in Pahalgam by Pakistan-based terrorists, Dr. Saha said the time had come for India to act with resolve.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it unequivocally clear—terrorism will not be tolerated and those responsible will face the consequences. Today’s airstrike stands as testimony to that resolve. Several terrorist camps and training facilities have been demolished, and many terrorists have been neutralized. Significantly, there are no reports of civilian casualties,” he said.
Reaffirming Tripura’s solidarity with the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, the Chief Minister said the people of the state stand firmly behind the Armed Forces and the Centre’s stance against terrorism.
“A mock drill is also scheduled for today. The Centre has clearly outlined the context and objectives of the operation. After enduring years of terror attacks, India has sent a clear message—we will not stay silent. Our Armed Forces have delivered a powerful response,” Dr. Saha added.
