Agartala, December 30: The 35th Shishu Mela, a children’s fair organized by Agiye Chalo Sangha in collaboration with Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers, was inaugurated by the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, on Saturday afternoon at the Melarmath area. The fair, which is held every year, aims to provide a fun and educational environment for children.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Arpita Saha, director of Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers, president of Agiye Chalo Sangha, and other dignitaries. The Chief Minister lauded the efforts of the Sangha and the government in creating a peaceful and conducive atmosphere for the growth and development of children. He said that the future of Tripura depends on how the children are nurtured and empowered.
As part of the celebration, a colourful procession of children dressed in various costumes was held in the city, leading up to the Shishu Mela. The fair features various games, stalls, cultural programs, and competitions for children of all ages. The fair will continue till January 5, 2024.
