Agartala, 11th August 2024: In a grand ceremony steeped in traditional culture and customs, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the newly constructed Kumbhakali temple in Ranirbazar on Sunday. Dr Saha was attended by Assembly’s Deputy Speaker Ram Prasad Pal, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and MLA Ratan Chakraborty.
Saints from various parts of the country graced the occasion, adding to the spiritual ambiance of the temple’s opening ceremony. A Vishwashanti Yagna was performed aimed at the overall welfare of the state’s populace, with the Chief Minister actively participating in the ritual.
The inauguration day also featured tree plantation programs and blood donation camps within the temple premises. Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Dr. Saha emphasized the significance of tree planting for environmental protection and the noble act of blood donation to save lives. He expressed his belief that the Kumbhakali temple would play a pivotal role in fostering traditional culture and consciousness among the people of the region, creating a devotional environment.
