Agartala: April 19. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday accused previous CPIM government of destroying industries that were set up in the state.
CM Dr Saha said this after inaugurating the newly set up Rubber Thread Plant by DS Group at Bodhjung Nagar Industrial Growth Centre.
“It is indeed good news that one after another industries are coming to set up their unit here in the Bodhjung Nagar industrial area which earlier nobody could think of it. Earlier also there were so many small industries units which were destroyed by chanting slogans “Zindabaad Zindabaad” and for which the owners have never taken any next steps to open other industries in the state”, said CM Saha.
He claimed that the previous government never took any steps for the growth of the industry in the state for which owners and labors nobody came here.
“After the 2018 BJP government came we addressed this issue. We know that providing government jobs to all is not possible but such industries will generate employment. I want to thank the owner for setting up his new unit. Earlier there were no industries, and communication was very poor. But in the last five years, each things have developed. We can’t even imagine such things would manufacture here. I am astonished to see how they manufacture threads from rubber latex. It will go in Bangladesh and in other countries all well. We have a competition with Vietnam and Thailand and healthy competition is necessary”, said CM Saha.
