Agartala: November 05. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today expressed his displeasure over the role of a section of government officials at the PWD office in Agartala.
During a surprise visit at the PWD office in Netaji Chowmuhani, Dr Manik Saha said, “Apart from Chief Minister I am also holding the department of PWD and for which I made a surprise visit at PWD office. After visiting the office I can say I am not happy. Staffs were not there. I came here to be aware of the problems they are facing but they could not inform me properly. I shall hold a meeting regarding this matter. They are responsible in providing service to people”.
He said, “I also made a visit to the health department earlier and in the coming days also I will do the same and will visit other offices. I made the visit to just check whether they are providing the services to people or not. I hope they will never do it again during their duty hours and for which our government is providing different services for government officials. But it was very unfortunate to witness such things. I will conduct an inquiry about the matter”.
