Agartala, 9th September 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today flagged off vehicles carrying relief materials for the people of flood-ravaged Himachal Pradesh. The initiative was undertaken by the Pradesh BJP to stand in solidarity with the disaster-hit state.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony held in front of the Pradesh BJP office, Dr. Saha said, “As you know, Himachal Pradesh has been severely affected by massive floods, resulting in loss of lives and extensive damage to roads and bridges due to landslides. Tripura too had faced similar challenges last year, so we can truly empathize with the hardships people are enduring.”
The Chief Minister further highlighted the importance of mutual support during natural calamities. “When Tripura was reeling under floods, several states extended their helping hand. This time, we have decided to do the same. From the CM’s Relief Fund, Rs. 5 crore has been sent to the Himachal Pradesh government. Alongside, our party has arranged relief materials worth Rs. 50 lakh, which we have flagged off today. BJP State President joined the program virtually from Delhi. In times of crisis, it is everyone’s responsibility to come forward and help,” he said.
The relief materials are expected to provide much-needed support to the affected families in Himachal Pradesh, reflecting Tripura’s spirit of solidarity and compassion.
