Agartala, 12th October 22 : President of India Droupadi Murmu has arrived in Agartala on Wednesday morning. Murmu has arrived for two day visit. Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and Governor Satyadeo Narayan Arya has received the president at MBB Airport in Agartala.
Later, a guard of honour was given to the president on behalf of the Tripura Police at the terminal of MBB Airport.On Facebook, Chief Minister Dr Saha wrote, “It is my great pleasure to welcome the Honorable President of India, Mrs. Droupadi Murmu Ji at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, Agartala. I think her two-day visit to the state will be a milestone for the people of Tripura”.
The president has arrived at 11:15 AM then she will left for inauguration of Tripura State Judicial academy and will lay foundation stone of Law University in Narsingarh at 2 PM.
Then at 3.30 PM she will leave for Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan in which the president will inaugurate seven projects virtually including inauguration of MLA hostel, upgradation of Hmunpui to Damcherra road, improvement road of Jatanbari to Mandirghat via Tirthamukh, Maharaja Birendra Kishore Manikya Musuem and Cultural Centre, Multi Storied building, infrastructure development of six higher secondary schools, nine 100 seated boy/girls hostel, IIIT-Agartala and Nischintapur Transhipment Yard.
At 6.30 PM a civic reception will be given to the President by the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) at Agartala Town Hall.On next day which is October 13 two new trains are scheduled to be flagged off at Agartala railway station. And later she will fly to Tripurasundari temple by helicopter of Indian Air Force from there she will be back to Delhi.
