CM inaugurates state-level workshop on Public Planning Abhiyan 2022

Agartala, December 14, 2022: Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday inaugurating the state level workshop organized on ‘Amar Sarkar’ web portal, Localization of Sustainable Development Goals and Public Planning Abhiyan-2022 at Conference Hall-I of Pragya Bhavan here.

Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Prof Dr Saha said that the present government of the state is the government of the people and it is meant to work for the development of the people. The main focus of the government is to deliver the benefits of the development programs of the government to the people living in the remote areas of the state, he added. He said “This government is my government. To make this feeling work in everyone, the present government is constantly working in the public interest. ‘Amar Sarkar’ web portal is launched for that purpose.”

“The ‘Amar Sarkar’ web portal has been launched to solve various problems of people quickly. More vigilance will be increased through this portal in the coming days so that the resources being developed in the state are sustainable”, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma said, “The ‘Amar Sarkar’ web portal has been launched with the aim of delivering the benefits of various government development projects to the people who are standing in the last row of the society through the use of technology. Initiatives are being taken to solve people’s problems quickly using this technology.

He said that the government has taken initiative to localize sustainable development goals. So that development is stable or sustainable as well as future generations can benefit from it. Sustainable Development Goals will work as part of making villages self-reliant, transparent and beautiful.Dr Sandeep N Rathore, Special Secretary, Department of Rural Development (Panchayat) delivered the welcome address on the occasion. On the occasion, Additional Director of Rural Development Department, Prasoon De, presented an outline of the objectives, topics of the government web portal through a power point presentation. The event also awarded the best 9 blocks selected for videos based on 9 themes of localizing Sustainable Development Goals.

Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Special Secretary of Rural Development (Panchayat) Department gave away the awards to the representatives of 9 blocks. Presidents of various Zilla Parishads, Chairman of Panchayat Samiti and BAC, BDO, officials of various related departments etc. were present in the event.
