Agartala, 19th September 2025: Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Friday moved a congratulatory motion in the Tripura Legislative Assembly, hailing the success of Operation Sindoor in combating terrorism.
On the opening day of the session, Dr. Saha strongly condemned the Pahalgaon massacre, where on April 22, 2025, Pakistan-backed terrorists brutally killed 26 citizens, including tourists, in Kashmir.
“This brutal murder deeply saddens the entire nation. I strongly condemn this heinous act and express my condolences to the bereaved families,” the Chief Minister said.He recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, immediately after the incident, assured the nation that such attacks would not be tolerated and pledged a decisive response.
“In retaliation, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025. In this well-planned strike, several terrorist bases and training camps inside Pakistan were destroyed, and a large number of militants trained by the Pakistani Army were eliminated,” Dr. Saha said.
The Chief Minister further informed the House that even as Pakistan resorted to shelling, India’s Army, Navy, and Air Force carried out precision missile strikes, damaging multiple military infrastructures across the border—while ensuring no harm to Pakistani civilians.
“India today is completely safe without any loss. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, our Armed Forces have once again demonstrated unmatched courage and skill. Operation Sindoor reflects the strength of India’s defense system and proves our commitment to fight terrorism relentlessly,” Dr. Saha added.
He praised the Indian Army’s response as “a befitting reply to Pakistan” and underlined that India, though a nation of peace and non-violence, would not hesitate to strike at enemy bases when necessary.
“On behalf of the people of Tripura, I extend heartfelt congratulations to the Prime Minister, the Defense Minister, the National Security Advisor, the Chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, the BSF, and every brave soldier who has pledged to protect our motherland,” Dr. Saha said.
The Chief Minister concluded by calling Operation Sindoor “a historic milestone” in India’s fight against terrorism.
