Agartala, December 26: MLA Surajit Datta, who is suffering from a physical illness, is currently receiving treatment at ILS hospital. Several political leaders, including Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik, Leader of Opposition Animesh Debbarma, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumdar, and MLA Meena Rani Sarkar, visited the hospital on Tuesday to inquire about his health condition.
They spoke to the doctors and expressed their concern for the MLA. Mayor Majumdar assured that there is no reason to worry, as MLA Surajit Datta is responding well to the treatment and is in a stable condition.
He also informed that the MLA could not be taken abroad for further treatment on Tuesday due to the unavailability of an air ambulance, but he will be flown out on Wednesday morning.
Opposition leader Animesh Debbarma also wished for the speedy recovery of the MLA and hoped that he would return to his duties soon. He praised the MLA for his dedication and service to the people of his constituency.
