Agartala, September 20, 2022: Union Home minister Amit Shah reviewed the status of resettlement of Bru migrant families in Tripura with the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha.
He expressed satisfaction over the progress made by the state government so far in regard to the settlement made in pursuance of the agreement signed by Ministry of Home Affairs with the state government in January, 2020.
At the earnest request of Chief Minister, Union Home minister gave in-principle approval to the proposal of the state government for extension of timeline for completion of resettlement process and to continue extending financial assistance to the Bru migrant families under the Agreement.
