Agartala: July 19. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha is setting inspiring example by choosing to travel via train, drawing widespread appreciation from citizens across the state.

Taking a break from his usual convoy, Chief Minister opted to board a regular train to reach his destination, showing his commitment to connect with the common citizens and experience their daily commuting challenges firsthand. This rare gesture demonstrated his earnest endeavor to understand the needs of the people better.

Despite having facilities of Helicopter services today Chief Minister went to North District to attend Van Mahotsav by train.

Dr Saha’ decision to travel by train is driven by his desire to reduce carbon emissions and minimize the ecological impact of his official trips. Emphasizing the importance of eco-friendly practices, he encourages others in the government to follow suit and adopt environmentally responsible ways of traveling.

Apart from being environmentally friendly, Dr. Manik Saha’s preference for train travel also reflects his strong connect with the common people of Tripura.

During his train journeys, he often engages in conversations with fellow passengers, listening to their concerns and gaining valuable insights into their needs and aspirations. This direct interaction with citizens has enabled him to understand the challenges faced by the people and work towards inclusive and people-centric governance.

Moreover, the Chief Minister’s choice to travel by train showcases his commitment to cost-effective governance. By avoiding more luxurious and expensive travel options, he ensures that taxpayers’ money is utilized prudently and efficiently. The cost-effective governance also reflects in his daily life as the Chief Minister has also reduced the number of his escort Vehicles unlike previous Chief Ministers of the state and always choose train services for long distance journey.
