Agartala, 17th August 2025: The state government will celebrate the 117th birth anniversary of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya with due dignity on August 19. The main programme has been scheduled at Hall No. 1 of the Rabindra bhawan, where Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha will grace the occasion as the chief guest.
Several other dignitaries are also expected to attend the event. The Information and Cultural Affairs Department has taken a series of initiatives to ensure the success of the programme.Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya, the last ruling king of Tripura, is remembered for his visionary contributions towards the development of the state, including the establishment of modern Agartala city and strengthening higher education.
