CM to inaugurate ‘Tele Manas’ health program at Narsingarh Modern Psychiatric Hospital on Jan 16

Agartala, January 13, 2023: Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha will officially inaugurate the Tele Mental (Tele Manas) Health Program at Narsingarh Modern Psychiatric Hospital here on January 16 next.

Speaking to media persons at the premises of NHM, Tripura office here on Friday afternoon, State Programme Officer and Consultant Psychiatrist Dr Udayan Majumder said that the Tele-Manas is a fully developed mental health service delivery programme and through this service, patients can also chat with specialist doctors through video conferencing and also get e-prescription and follow-up services apart from counselling.

Presently, this tele-psychiatry service is being introduced 24 hours a week at Narsingarh Modern Psychiatric Hospital in the state. The toll-free numbers are 14416 and 18008914416.

State Programme Coordinator Dr Chaitali Malakar told reporters that this ‘Tele Manas’ will open for 24 hours and calls through the toll-free numbers will be attended by eight tele-callers while 20 counsellors, psychiatrists and psychologists will also be there.
