Agartala, 10th July 2025: Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today reviewed the progress of construction of the hostel and new building of Agartala Government Dental College and urged faculties to work more to build a good reputation and better name for the dental college nationwide.
Dr. Saha said this after attending the Governing Body meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti, Agartala Government Dental College (AGDC) & IGM Hospital at the AGDC conference hall, Agartala.
“We have stressed on the timely watching of patients and on different matters, to give timely delivery system without any problems. We have also spoken with the faculty and informed that this is our dream project — such a beautiful dental college for which the MDoNER has given us funds for a separate building,” said Dr. Saha.
Dr. Saha, who is also the Health Minister of the state, said that the Agartala Government Dental College has 63 students.
“We have also spoken about the hostel construction and by when it will be completed. I have also instructed to keep in mind the MDS students for the coming days and to construct hostels for girls and boys separately. Faculty here are not engaged in a single work. Since it is an institution, faculty have to look after both students and treatment as well. I have also asked them to work more to create more name and fame for Agartala Government Dental College. Everyone has to work sincerely. I have also inspected the IGM Hospital and spoke with officials,” he added.
