CM vows to extend Government benefits to every corner of society

Agartala, 5th December 2023 :   Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday  said that the present BJP-led Tripura government is committed to ensuring the benefits of its developmental initiatives reach every member of society.

 “The government is prioritizing the provision of basic facilities to the citizens of the state. The current administration is resolute in extending the benefits of developmental projects to every individual in society, following the direction set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” said Dr. Saha.

 Dr Saha said this during the inauguration of an underground water treatment plant with a capacity of 80 lakh gallons per day at Ushabazar in Agartala. The plant is part of the Amrut project. “The other name for water is life. We cannot survive without water. The Amrut project is being implemented in the state to provide drinking water to the citizens of urban areas,” Dr. Saha emphasized.

 He revealed that Rs 78 crore have been invested in the construction of this water treatment plant, with approximately 4 thousand beneficiaries expected to benefit.

 Expressing satisfaction with the management of the groundwater treatment project and its facilities, the Chief Minister stressed the need for similar projects in the state in the future. 

“The Viksit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra, developed with the aim of delivering the benefits of various central government projects across the country to the people, has been launched. Along with this, the Good Governance 2.0 campaign has been initiated in the state. The purpose of these initiatives is to bring various government projects and services to the people’s homes,” he explained.

 Dr. Saha highlighted the association of the country’s prime minister with development and emphasized the commitment to transparency in governance.

 “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid special emphasis on transparency. The current state government also believes in a transparent policy. The government is working by adopting a transparent policy in every case,” he added.

 The event was attended by Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder, former MLA Dr. Dilip Das, and other officials.
