Agartala, November 07: A college girl took her own life after being cheated by her lover. The doctors of GB Hospital handed over her dead body to her family on Tuesday afternoon.
Reportedly, Sanjana Das, Dasarath Deb Memorial College in Khowai met the accused youth Gaurav Dey during her admission a few months back. Then she became acquainted with a college boy. Gradually, they fell in love with each other through mobile phone conversations. Although the girl loved him, the boy’s love was a trap to deceive her. Later, the girl’s family went to the boy’s house with a marriage proposal.
The accused lover Gaurav Dey did not agree to the marriage. Then the girl’s family found out from the locals that Gaurav, who lives in Khoyai Kalibari area, was a fraudster. He used to loot money from girls by luring them into love. And when he fulfilled his selfishness, he slowly broke the ties of their love. The same happened with Sanjana. After knowing the truth, Sanjana started to suffer from love for the last one month. Finally, she poisoned herself at her home.
Her younger sister saw her and screamed. Her mother came and took her to Khowai District Hospital. From there, she was referred to GB Hospital, where she died on Tuesday morning at around 10:30 am. The family broke down in tears. The girl’s family said they would file a case against the accused youth.
