Agartala, 31st October 2025: To commemorate National Unity Day, a vibrant National Unity March was organized today by the NSS Unit of Subhashnagar H.S School. The march was conducted in the adjoining local areas of the school to spread the spirit of national unity, integrity and patriotism among students and the community.
The programme was graced by the presence of the Vice-Principal, Mrs. Rama Dewan Mog, Teacher Council Secretary Mr. Jayanta Saha, along with other teaching staff. A total of 42 NSS volunteers, Eco-Club members and other students actively participated in the march. Under the overall guidance of NSS Programme Officer Mr. Raju Roy, the event was successfully coordinated, with NSS volunteer Ms. Arpita Mishra and other volunteers playing key roles in leading the march.
It is noteworthy that from 18 October to 30 October, a range of pre-event activities were conducted by the NSS Unit to mark National Unity Day. These activities included shramdaan, banner and poster-making competitions, quiz competition, seminar, administration of the National Unity Pledge and an awareness programme on ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ with local villagers. During the awareness session, NSS Programme Officer Mr. Raju Roy spoke on national integration, the role of youth in nation-building and the importance of creating a drug-free society, followed by the Drug-Free India pledge by all present.
The school authorities appreciated the initiative and assured continuous support for such social, humanitarian and educational activities in the future. Such programmes play a pivotal role in fostering social responsibility, leadership qualities, discipline and a sense of service among students.
