Colour procession from 3 PM in Agartala to make ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign successful: Sushanta

Agartala, August 11, 2022: With the initiative of the Information and Cultural Affairs department, a colour procession with participation of cabinet ministers and top bureaucrats of the state civil and police administration will organized on Friday next to mark the success of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’campaign.

Speaking to media persons here at Civil Secretariat premises on Thursday afternoon, ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that he convened a meeting yesterday in his official chamber of holding a colourful foot-march procession to make the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign a successful one.

“As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and celebration of 75th year of India’s independence, a colourful foot-march procession will start from Mahatma Gandhi statue at Circuit House and end at Ujjayanta Palace entrance here. The procession will begin from 3 PM”, he added.

Minister said “Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, DGP Amitabh Ranjan, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, District Magistrates, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, higher officials of the state’s civil and home administration will participate in this procession.”

“In a bid to make the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign successful, state’s ICA department has been made as the nodal department. The central government has amended the code of hoisting and lowering of national flag from August 13 to 15 next. People can hoist the flag from August 13 morning onwards and lower it on August 15 evening while in case of offices and courts, national flag must be hoisted on the morning and lowered in the evening on these three days”, Chowdhury told reporters.
