Agartala Dec 22: In yet another incident of political violence. Congress party office in Gandacherra was attacked by miscreants on late Wednesday night.Furniture, flags, festoons and all campaign material of the party have been destroyed by the hooligans.
Addressing the media, one of the Congress leaders of Raimavalley Congress said, “The incident happened after Congress managed huge number of voters to join the party amid presence in MLA Sudip Roy Barman”.“As soon as the news spread, the BJP backed hoodlums have attacked the party office and ransacked it in the dark hours of night”, he added.
Police visited the spot on Thursday morning and took a note of the incident but no action has been taken against the miscreants yet.The Congress demanded immediate action against the miscreants and warned to launch protest against the incident.
