Agartala Dec 22: A delegation of Pradesh NSUI, A student body of Tripura Pradesh congress placed deputation at the Police Headquarters here on Thursday demanding fair investigation related to suicide of Class 10 student.
According to the details, Arghadip Majumder, a 10th Standard student of Sri Krishna Mission School committed suicide following tremendous pressure and torture of school teacher.Talking to the reporters after meeting the police officials at the PHQ, Agartala, Samrat Roy, state president, NSUI said, “Only because of extreme mental torture by the school teacher, Arghadip committed suicide which is not at all acceptable”.
“We demand arrest of the accused teacher under Section 306 of IPC, appropriate investigation of the incident and exemplary punishment of the accused teacher”, he added.Yesterday too, the NSUI delegation met the principal of Sri Krishna Mission School and demanded fair investigation of the incident.Samrat Roy alleged, “Even after 3 days of the incident police has failed to take any action against the accused school teacher”.NSUI warned to stage larger movement in near days if the demand of fair investigation and exemplary punishment of the accused teacher is not met immediately.
