Agartala, 24th November 2025:    Losing faith in the Radha Kishorepur police station, minority leaders of the Udaipur Congress party submitted a deputation to the SDPO of Udaipur sub-division Debanjali Roy pressing a three-point demand to restore law and order in the subdivision.

The delegation led by Muslim Mia, Rasun Mia, Azad Hossain and several other leaders, alleged that anti-social elements have been spreading terror across Udaipur, particularly in the Kakraban area. They cited a recent incident in which a local businessman was harassed despite filing a written complaint with names and details at the police station. According to the leaders, no arrests were made in connection with the case.

The Congress representatives further claimed that thefts have been rising daily across the subdivision, yet police have failed to take effective measures. They also highlighted the unchecked spread of intoxicants in rural markets and narrow lanes, which they said has worsened public safety.

Accusing ruling party supporters of targeting opposition members, the delegation urged immediate intervention to stop such activities. In response, SDPO Debanjali Roy assured that necessary steps would be taken. The Congress leaders later informed the press that the administration had promised appropriate action.
