PCC to start 10-day ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra – Tripura Bachao’ from Nov 16

Agartala, November 14, 2022: Following the directives of All India Congress Committee (AICC), Pradesh Congress Committee will kick off “Bharat Jodo Yatra – Tripura Bachao” campaign from November 19 next at 16 places across the state.

“We are initiating this ‘Pada Yatra’ aiming to restore democracy, protect constitutional rights, aware people about burning example of unemployment, sky rocketing prices of essential commodities, divisive politics in various issues, etc. for the interest of common people”, said Pradesh Congress MLA  Sudip Roy Barman while speaking to media personnel here at Congress Bhavan on Monday afternoon.

He said “In this ‘Pada Yatra’, Congress leaders, workers and supporters will participate and walk for atleast 15 KMs every day from November 19 for 10 days. We appeal to the common people to participate and extend cooperation in making the ‘Pada Yatra’ successful.”

Roy Barman also said that the Pradesh Congress will file application to the Home department administration for ensuring routes are safe and police should take responsibility as every political party has democratic right to organize movement.

“BJP have lost faith on common people and started trusting hooligans, for which blood is shedding from common masses to the workers of each and every opposition political parties. We demand collaborated discharging of duties by the civil and home administration”, he added.
