Agartala, 13th October 2023: Pradesh Congress President Asish Kumar Saha accused the BJP government of oppressing the common people and indulging in money laundering on the occasion of ‘Sharadiya Durgotsav’. He held a press conference at the Congress Bhawan on Friday and demanded the state government to stop the atrocities and ensure the welfare of the people.
Saha said that the BJP government has failed to provide employment and development to the people of Tripura. He alleged that the government is misusing MGNREGA’s work as a political tool and depriving the genuine beneficiaries. He also claimed that the ruling party’s gangsters have been extorting money from the people in different parts of the state during the festive season.
He announced that the state Congress will launch a movement for the overall development, infrastructure and development of the people. He said that Congress will march to Raj Bhavan on November 22 with various demands of the people, such as increasing MGNREGA wages, providing relief to farmers, ensuring quality education and health care, and restoring law and order.
