Agartala, 3rd December 2023: In a sharp rebuke of the Congress party, former Deputy Chief Minister and prominent BJP leader Jishnu Dev Varma has cast a critical eye on their apparent lack of vision, asserting that the Congress is teetering on the edge of political demise.
Responding to the BJP’s triumphant victories in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan, Dev Varma said that the party’s success in these states is the outcome of tireless year-round efforts.
“Congress seems to only surface during elections and predominantly on social media. While they claim to be on the rise during elections, the reality is quite the opposite. Congress is faltering due to a dearth of vision, leadership, and tangible accomplishments; it’s unrealistic for them to expect victory under such circumstances. With no other significant players in the field, Congress remained inactive and heavily relied on social media,” stated Dev Varma.
He underscored the Congress party’s adoption of an overtly negative campaign strategy, emphasizing that elections cannot be won solely through negativity. Dev Varma remarked that the Congress campaign lacked positivity, grappling with anti-incumbency in Rajasthan and a leadership vacuum in Madhya Pradesh, similar to the situation in Chhattisgarh.
Taking to social media, Dev Varma expressed, “Heartiest congratulations to all BJP karyakartas and the voters who have bestowed upon us this remarkable victory, guided by the visionary leadership of our dedicated Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. This triumph resonates with principles of self-respect, self-sufficiency, and self-confidence—a testament to our collective spirit and positive outlook.
