Agartala, 29th July 2026 : Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee President Asish Kumar Saha on Wednesday said that the party has launched a series of organisational programmes across the state to strengthen and consolidate the Congress organisation.
He said the party would continue to activate booth-level structures and remain on the streets to raise issues concerning the common people.
Saha made the remarks while addressing reporters after an organisational review meeting held at the North Tripura District Congress Bhavan in Dharmanagar under his leadership.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the current organisational situation of the district, plans to strengthen booth-level committees, increasing public outreach, and chalking out future political programmes and agitations.
Congress leaders from different levels of the district organisation participated in the meeting and stressed the need to make party activities more active at the grassroots level. Discussions were also held on building continuous movements on issues related to public interest alongside strengthening the party organisation.
Saha strongly condemned the recent attack on two Youth Congress workers in Dharmanagar. He said that attacks on political workers have no place in a democratic environment and demanded the immediate arrest of those involved in the incident and exemplary punishment.
He also urged the administration to play a neutral and responsible role in maintaining law and order.
