Agartala, 30th November 2024: A police constable named Rakesh Debnath was seriously injured in a hit-and-run incident while on duty in the Suryamaninagar area under Amtali police station.
The incident took place when a Bolero car struck Debnath and fled the scene. Debnath fell to the ground and was immediately taken to Tripura Medical College and Dr BRAM Teaching Hospital before being referred to GB Hospital. Doctors at GB Hospital reported that he sustained serious injuries to his hands and various parts of his body. The police are actively working to locate and seize the vehicle involved in the incident.
