Agartala: April 18. Newly appointed TIDC Chairman Nabadal Banik today said that the construction work of border haat in Kamalpur would be completed before Durga Puja. Banik along with former Minister MLA Manoj Kanti Deb and Swapna Das Paul and other administrative officials visited the under construction border haat.
Later, speaking with media, Nabadal said, “There was a security issue as BSF have to take labours across the border for construction work. And for which the work has been stropped for many days. After taking charge as chairman of TIDC, I was inspecting the ongoing projects and found that the work of this project is going in a slow manner. Today I came here along with SDMs and MLAs along with the constriction agency. After the visit we held a meeting at the SDM office to try to sort out the problems in a move to finish the work as soon as possible. I believe that before Durga Puja the construction work of this border haat will be completed”.
