Agartala, August 14: In a thoughtful gesture leading up to Independence Day, Snigdha Das Deb, the Corporator of Ward No. 14 in the Agartala Municipal Corporation distributed clothes among safai karmis. The event took place at the ward office premises on Monday, with Ward No. 14 Corporator Snigdha Das Deb and other dignitaries in attendance.
Expressing her sentiments, Corporator Snigdha Das Deb highlighted the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a nationwide cleanliness campaign advocated by the Prime Minister. She acknowledged the pivotal role played by sanitation workers in the campaign’s success.
In recognition of their dedicated efforts, the safai karmis were presented with clothes as a token of appreciation, symbolizing Ward No. 14’s commitment to Agartala Municipal Corporation’s Swachh Bharat endeavours.
