Tripura Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Puneet Agarwal on Tuesday said that the entire counting process is underway in a smoothly manner and informed that the office has asked political parties to file specific complaints if they face any problems so that the CEO’s office can take actions.
After inspecting counting halls at Umakanta Academy, which falls under the West Parliamentary Constituency, CEO Agarwal said counting agents of different political parties present at the Counting halls are observing the process along with counting observers assigned by the ECI.
“Counting of all processes, including EVMs and Postal Ballots, is going smoothly. All processes are underway in a peaceful manner. Counting agents of different political parties are here observing along with counting observers assigned by ECI. So overall, the process is going on smoothly, and we are uploading the results on various websites of ECI. In some centers, EVM counting is completed, and in some places, the final round is underway, after which five mandatory VVPATs will be counted. Apart from these, Postal ballot counting is also underway,” he said.
The CEO said, “We are asking the opposition political parties to provide specific complaints if there are any, with specific names, counting halls and hall numbers, and who has given the threats so necessary actions can be taken.”
