Agartala, 25th December 2024: The 132nd birthday of Comrade Mao Tse-tung, the great leader of the Chinese socialist revolution was celebrated with respect at the CPIM state headquarters today. The event saw the presence of CPIM state leader Pabitra Kar and other party leaders.
Despite China’s increasing aggressive policies and anti-India stance, including attempts to occupy Arunachal Pradesh, the CPM leadership continues to praise China. This stance contrasts with the voices of almost all political parties in India, who are raising concerns against China’s actions.
During the celebration at Dasarath Deb Smriti Bhavan in Agartala, CPIM leaders paid floral tributes to the portrait of Mao Tse-tung. Speaking at the event, Kar praised Mao Tse-tung’s contributions and influence. “In today’s time, where work is being done to fight against the BJP, Mao Tse-tung is a teacher and an inspiration to the leftists. They will learn from him and move forward in the party leadership,” said Kar.
