Agartala, 25th December 2023 : Union Minister of State, Pratima Bhoumik, criticized the former Left Front government on Monday, accusing them of withholding government benefits from the public.

She alleged that, during the Left era, government benefits were primarily extended to individuals affiliated with the CPIM, while the majority of the population was excluded.

“Under the CPIM era, only 6 houses were allocated to each panchayat. However, since the change of power in 2018, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 150-200 houses are now being allotted to each panchayat. The CPIM, for their personal gain, deprived the people of government benefits,” she asserted.

Bhoumik also predicted a return to power for the BJP-led government in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and confidently stated that Narendra Modi would serve as the Prime Minister for the third consecutive term.

“After securing more seats than the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will once again lead India,” she declared.

She highlighted the reach of Modi’s development initiatives, stating that the “guarantee vehicle” has reached every doorstep to deliver essential facilities to the people. Bhoumik emphasized the Prime Minister’s belief that the development of the country hinges on the progress of every individual.

The ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, launched on November 15 and set to conclude on January 25, aims to bring opportunities to the underprivileged in society. Bhoumik mentioned that Prime Minister Modi has initiated a total of 17 projects to benefit the common people.

Since the formation of the BJP coalition government in Tripura in 2018, Bhoumik noted that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana houses have been provided to the people of the state. Additionally, she mentioned that 26 lakh people across the state have benefited from the Prime Minister’s Currency Loan Scheme.
