CPIM holds Protest Rally Demanding Action Against Attacks on Religious Minorities in Bangladesh

Agartala, 7th January 2026 :   A protest rally was organized on the streets of the city by the West Tripura district committee of the CPI(M), demanding swift punishment for the perpetrators of attacks on religious minorities in Bangladesh.

During the rally, protesters carried various placards condemning the recent assaults in Bangladesh and called on the international community to take notice. They urged immediate action to ensure justice for the victims.

Speaking at the event, Manik De stated that, following the fall of Sheikh Hasina, religious extremists in Bangladesh have increasingly targeted minority communities. The CPI(M) has raised its voice against these ongoing atrocities. The protest aimed to press the Bangladesh government to take prompt measures and punish those responsible.
