Agartala, 30th January 2025:   In a distressing incident, a customer named Anima Debnath reported the disappearance of one lakh rupees from her fixed deposit at Indian Bank on Hari Ganga Basak Road, Agartala. The incident came to light when she visited the bank to withdraw money.

Upon discovering the missing funds, Anima Debnath, a resident of Ranirbazar, broke down in tears. She revealed that she had made a fixed deposit of one lakh rupees at Indian Bank a year back. Over the past few days, she had been attempting to withdraw the money, but the bank authorities had been stalling. Today, they informed her that the money had been withdrawn a month after the deposit was made, which she denies knowing anything about.

The bank authorities have been reluctant to provide details about the incident, raising questions about their role in the disappearance of the funds. They failed to give a satisfactory explanation as to how the money was withdrawn without her knowledge.

Anima Debnath stated that she plans to file a complaint with the police station regarding the matter.
